We found another Navigator Duck relaxing in the forest next to Lake Tahoe! Just soaking up the sun and dreaming about being on the lake.

Going into the last week of school, we had a drum group come and we created some beautiful music. The students all got into the rhythm and even started to dance. We cannot wait to bring them back and do it again!
May Best of Canyon View - We are excited to celebrate these wonderful individual for what they do for students and families: Madi Stander (LIFE), Amber Perea (Elementary), Angela Forsgren (Preschool), and Katie Askew (Elementary). Even thought we were not able to celebrate everyone this year, it was great reading those nominiated and seeing the actions that staff make. Canyon View is magic!! Keep nominating.
Wednesday, we had a wonderful afternoon filled with celebration, joy and tears! We had our team brag about students that have graduated from our LIFE program. As you can tell by the pictures, it was a great time for students, families and friends.

We want to recognize our teachers for the wonderful things that they do in the classroom. These are just a few of them supporting our teacher's union and bringing awareness to the impact teachers have in education. We could not do the work without you!!
Canyon View Navigators! Here are times and events leading up to the end of school. Dates highlighted Blue impact all students. Pink are only for PreSchool, Purple are only for LIFE Program, and Green is only for Elementary. Let's finish strong and continue being safe, respectful and responsible.
Meet Frankie! She works in the LIFE Program and is a veteran paraprofessional. Frankie’s love for her students shows in every one-on-one interaction.
Meet Heidi! She works in preschool. Heidi has the drive and intuition to do what’s needed for students.
Meet Crystal! She works in the LIFE Program and is a true jack of all trades. Crystal helps students with independent living and communication skills.
Meet Becky! She works in Preschool and is a wonderful support for both staff and students. Becky makes our school a better place every day.
Meet Grace! She works in our preschool program. Her warm smile makes students feel safe and excited to be at school. Grace is dependable and a great addition to Canyon View.
Meet Deia! She works in our preschool and is one of our most recent hires. Deia excels at drawing on her experience from other roles in education.
Meet Monroe! She works in elementary and is great at staying positive. She has done an excellent job taking over the classroom when asked—and she does it with a smile!

Students were able to see what it takes to be able to work hard towards a common goal, what is needed to stay safe, and a reminder that the race is a marathon, not a sprint. These are great reminders as we prepare for the end of the year here at Canyon View.
