LIFE

We are a program dedicated to helping post-high school (age 18 to 22) students with disabilities achieve their goals and gain independence in areas of vocational skills, daily living skills, communication/social skills, communication/social skills, and community access. While daily lessons are held at Canyon View School, students also have the opportunity to go out in the community and practice job training, shopping, UTA skills, and participate in recreation/leisure activities.

 

Placement is an IEP team decision, and the program is individualized to the goals and transition plan of each student. The overall goal of the LIFE program is the help families bridge a young adult's transition from school to adulthood.

We work with adult agencies to ensure that students and caregivers are informed about available services.  Some of these agencies include:
