Transition Talk Tuesday - For this week, we want to invite you to our Parent Night that will be held here at Canyon view next Wednesday. We plan on talking about how to complete DSPD paperwork to be added to the waitlist and also applying for guardianship and knowing the ins and outs too. Please share this with other parents.
Meet Jack! He’s on our custodian staff and brings positivity every day. Jack knows what’s expected and always delivers.
Meet Benjamin! He works in the LIFE Program and always brings a “go get them” attitude. Benjamin leads classroom discussions and loves helping students explore new ideas.
Meet William! He works in the LIFE Program’s Blue program and isn’t afraid to work one-on-one with students. William helps teach good communication and behavior skills every day.
Something sweet is coming... When students come together and make safe, respectful, and responsible decisions, it adds up, slice by slice.
Meet Lenora! She’s a veteran in our LIFE Program, known for her excellence and love for students. Lenora helps every student make progress and reach their goals.
Also last week, many of our students who use wheelchairs got to come up on stage for dance fitness because of our new ramp! Best dance fitness class ever! Thank you to those at the District that saw a need at our school and filled it.
A week ago, our Blue and Red groups had a fun trip to the Fire Station and Police Station. Our students had fun getting to sit in the police cars and an ambulence!
The Grinch made a final appearance today for the last day before break! Nurse Meghan was able to check his heart and got a hug from Cami before he was able to greet the students with holiday cheer! It was a great day spending time as a school with him this month.
Meet Jessica! She works in our LIFE Program and is a wonderful addition to our Canyon View family. Jessica supports staff and always does what’s best for students.
Meet Danielle! She works in our Preschool and has a special way of helping students calm down and follow classroom routines.
Best Of Canyon View. Staff have nominated their peers doing what they do best - serving and supporting students! Sierra and Mallory were winners from November. Sharlie, Jess and Bell are the December winners.
Meet Octavius! They work in Elementary and easily adapt to any situation. Octavius is a valuable newer member of our team.
Meet Kristali! She’s a veteran paraprofessional in our LIFE Program who loves helping students find and keep jobs.
Meet Lilly! She works in Elementary and dreams of being a teacher. Lilly’s infectious laugh and attention make every student feel loved.
Meet Claudia! She works in our Preschool Foundations classroom. Claudia sees her students’ potential and pushes them to be independent.
Tis the season of giving! Thank you, thank you, thank you - to someone in our community for donating this beautiful tree to our school! It really starts the season off right.
Today our LIFE team went to Neptune Skating. The students and staff had a wonderful time trying new things and even made a ballon parade at the school to end the day!

Meet Taylor! She works in Preschool. Working with our preschoolers holds a special place in her heart and her smile draws students in. Her ability to tackle any task or situation makes her so valuable to have in our program.
